love was
seeing past those blue eyes
and that sweet smile
into who you were
and accepting you

treasuring you
each and everyday
so that i'll let you know

growing old with you
walking hand in hand
along the beaches
throwing starfishes into the sea

take my hand,
and let's go for a
midnight stroll down the
park. it's
quiet
there, and there's
no one around
at this time of the night.
step down
on the lush green grass.
see! the moon
shines so radiant
just like in your eyes;
the radiant shimmerings.
come
and seat with me,
here on the park bench.
lie your head on
my shoulder.
relax -
the night is young.
we were but sweet seventeen,
staying out late, spending
the night in each others' arms.
i held you tight,
afraid to lose you;
to ever let you go.
"dear," you say,
as your hand gently brushed
my cheek - the velvet touch
sent my nerves tingling.
"i love you,
i really do."
i gaze into your eyes, and
they tell me you do.
i fall into your arms;
the warmth of your embrace
in the coldness
of the dark cold night.
we kiss, and the
silhouette became one.
we spend the night
cuddled together,
only to awake to the painted sunrise
of the dawning of a new day.
